Michelle Egan has more than 25 years of experience litigating, negotiating, and resolving cases and disputes. Her diverse background brings unique qualification and deeper perspective to mediation.
Ms. Egan mediates general civil cases of any size and complexity. She commonly mediates claims arising out of automobile accidents, premises liability, personal injury, business disputes, shareholder disputes, contract disputes, consumer finance disputes, insurance coverage, property tax appeals, probate matters, breach of fiduciary duty, and fraud, among others.
As a big firm national litigator, Ms. Egan's practice focused on consumer litigation under the Federal Fair Credit Reporting Act and similar state laws. Her experience also includes toxic tort and asbestos-related litigation, insurance coverage litigation, and representation of government entities and facilities.
At a boutique firm, Ms. Egan created a personalized practice helping small businesses and individuals navigate and resolve business disputes.
Ms. Egan served as an Assistant Attorney General and Assistant District Attorney for the State of Georgia. She also clerked for a Superior Court Judge and led a well-respected non-profit.
Ms. Egan is a registered mediator with the Georgia Office of Dispute Resolution in general civil, domestic relations, and probate mediation. She received her mediation training and certification through Harvard Law School's Program on Negotiation and the Justice Center of Atlanta.
Ms. Egan is a 1994 graduate of the University of Georgia School of Law.
